The Bead Attic has been a popular place for bead lovers over the years, but owners Donna and Bernie Ditges are ready to expand their customer base by showing area residents what the love of beads is all about.

Their classes are sure to turn novices into experts and non-crafters into believers.  The Bead Attic offers classes in PMC, wire wrapping, peyote, brick stitch and herringbone. They host Bead Ins every Wednesday and everyone is welcome.  Basic stringing classes are offered free every Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the purchase of beads.

If classes aren’t your thing, get a group together and come to the Bead Attic for a beading party. They host birthday parties for kids ages 7 and up, adults, parties for Girl Scouts, groups or clubs, and ladies nights out.

Since revamping their stock, the store now offers more crystals and seed beads – over 500 different varieties and growing, including Miyuki and Toho. They also offer more gemstones, cabochons, and a larger selection of wire working products, chains and charms. For those who prefer, a selection of beads has been individually priced.

They also offer custom made jewelry as well as jewelry for brides and bridesmaids. They welcome jewelry repair.

The Bead Attic is open from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Bead Attic is located near Luby’s in the

Brazos Emporium strip center next to Picket Fence.

The address is 107 West Way, Suite 12, in Lake Jackson.
