Council to discuss master plan
A countywide drainage district meeting with county engineer Mattew Hanks and the board of supervisors of Velasco Drainage District will discuss updates to the Master Drainage Plan and other drainage issues, according to the agenda.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Monday in the Brazoria County Airport Conference Room, 8000 Airport Way, Angleton.
Velasco Drainage District to meet
Velasco Drainage District officials will review reports from the district superintendent, engineer, and attorney, as well as discuss payments and expenses, according to the agenda. They will also review and consider plans for development and permits for crossing the district’s facilities, according to the agenda.
Officials will also consider a replat for various lots in the county and address consulting with an attorney concerning litigation on Hurricane Harvey, One Call System and legal aspects of agreements, according to the agenda.
The Velasco Drainage District meeting is 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Boardroom of the District’s office at 915 Stratton Ridge Road.
Brazosport ISD board to consider additional personnel
Brazosport ISD Board of Trustees will consider funding for additional personnel at their meeting Monday, according to the agenda. They will also consider a dual credit agreement, a compensation plan for the next school year and a dual credit agreement, the agenda states.
The board will also hear reports about the preliminary budget, career and technical education certifications and construction updates, the agenda states.
The meeting is at 6 p.m. Monday at the administration building, 301 West Brazoswood Drive.

Council to consider variances
Lake Jackson City Council will consider variances for a driveway approach on Indian Warrior Trail and a commercial truck on Elm Street at their meeting Monday, according to the agenda.
Council might also approve the emergency $100,000 replacement of irrigation pumps at the Wilderness Golf Course and allowing the municipal judge to require parents or guardians to pay for damages caused by their children, if the consent agenda is approved.
The meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 25 Oak Drive.

Council addresses drainage, potholes
Sweeny City Council will discuss the option of walking museums in city parks, as well as discuss on drainage and potholes being improved in the city at the Tuesday meeting, according to the agenda.
The agenda also states the council will consider adding a street light on Azalea St.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 102 W. Ashley Wilson Rd., Sweeny.
