No one injured in morning home fire

A house caught fire early in the morning hours of the Fourth of July with no injuries reported, officials said.

The two-story house at CR 912 in Brazoria did not appear to be a total loss, Brazoria Fire Department Chief Duane Stahl said. Firefighters from his department with help from Jones Creek volunteers had the fire out by about 4:30 a.m.

Two family members inside the house were taken to nearby hospitals as a precauion, but there did not appear to be anyone seriously injured as a result of the fire, Stahl said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Brazoria County Fire Marshal’s Office, Stahl said.
