SAN BERNARD NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE - It's not just a contender. It's the champion live oak tree, and it's right here in Brazoria County.

Champion is how the Texas Forestry Service - along with most other state forestry services - designates the biggest tree of each species in the state.
