Toys for Tots is again seeking to make holidays happy for children who might not receive a new toy for Christmas.

The Brazoria County Marine Corps League sponsors Toys for Tots each year. Collection boxes are placed in businesses around the county and toys are distributed in almost every community by churches, police departments and the Salvation Army.

This year, Honda of Lake Jackson contributed a storage warehouse, and the West Columbia Walmart, Toys ’R Us, and Woodmen of the World Angleton Lodge also contributed to the cause.

Toys for Tots is an organization that operates under guidelines of the national organizations and is dedicated to seeing all children receive new toys for Christmas. Last year, 14 organizations participated and 28,080 toys were distributed; 19,280 toys were collected in collection boxes, 589 purchased and 8,211 were received from Toys for Tots foundation.

To donate, purchase a gift your children would want and drop it in a Toys for Tots collection box.
