Donna Rochelle Gouldsby Mathews Haynes

Donna Rochelle Gouldsby Mathews Haynes, 51, after a valiant battle with cancer, passed away at her home on October 26, 2013. She was surrounded by her family.

She was born in a loving home on March 6, 1962 to Delores Sevelyn Gouldsby in Spokane, Washington.

She spent her formative years in Hooks, Texas in a home with nine brothers and sisters who smothered her with love.

She was an member of Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. She graduated from Hooks High School in 1980 where she was active in many organizations.

She later attended Prairie View A&M University. She was a business owner in the home health profession.

She lived her life as a servant to others and inspiration to her children and grandchildren whom she doted upon.

Donna worked in ministries with the Clute and Angleton congregations of Jehovah’s Witness. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1988. Consoled by the thought of seeing her again one day are those who loved her unconditionally: her husband John Henry Haynes; children, Cassandra Bright (42) (Edward), Tyrone Dwayne Haynes (38)(Misja), Heather Ashley Evette Mathews (31), Maya Sevelyn Mathews (30) (Daniel), Kerry Lynn Mathews, Jr. (29), Jonathan Matthew Haynes (26); sisters, Detria Hicks (John), Yolanda Franklin (Davie), Mattye Jones (Nathan); brothers, Isaac C. Gouldsby, Jr., George W. Gouldsby, II (Vicki); William Anthony Gouldsby (Pam); and grandchildren, Paige, Kollin, Jack, William, Malachi, Sasha, James, Asian, Jordan, Averi, and Taze.

She will also be dearly missed by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Delores Gouldsby; parents, Grace Gouldsby and Rev. Isaac C. Gouldsby, Sr.; her brothers, Willie Harold and Gregory; and sister, Fritzi’ Woods.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Kingdom Hall, of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2030 Brazoswood Blvd North, Clute, TX.

In lieu of flowers tax deductible donations may be made in Donna Haynes’ honor to The Grace Fort Gouldsby Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 1595, DeSoto, TX 75115.
