Lillian “Kitty” Carl Davenport

Lillian “Kitty” Carl Davenport, 92, passed away peacefully in Lubbock, Texas and went Home on December 2, 2018. Her devotion to family and her firm belief in God supported her, giving her peace for many years.

Kitty was born on September 24, 1927 in Roscoe, Texas to Bertha Lillian Barnett and Carl Geoffery Davenport. She was the fourth of five children. She was a life-long Texan and a strong Christian. She was raised by Bertha and JT Hensler. Kitty married Edward Dean Parker on December 20, 1947 in Quanah, TX. She was completely devoted to her husband and her Spiritual Walk. Kitty’s greatest joy was providing a Christian home for their three children. She touched the lives of many people with her compassionate heart and generosity.

Kitty was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, John, Mildred Burkett, Marilee Bridges, Benny; and one grandson, Josh Parker.

She is survived by her three children, Mark Stanley (Carol), Benny Eugene (Debbie), Diana Lillian (Jane); and multiple grand and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be July 6, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson, TX. Interment will be with her parents, at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, TX.
