Shalim Khan

Funeral Services for Shalim Khan, 85, of Angleton will be Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Angleton (McBeth Community) with Pastor Joseph Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery in Angleton, Texas.

He passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Oak Village Healthcare in Lake Jackson, TX.

He loved music and cooking. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and the Trail Riders Association. He was a Tug Boat Captain for many years and was very proud we he was promoted to Captain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shetar and Jamelia Khan; wife, Elaine Khan; sister, Enid Mafetepha and son-in-law, Don King.

He is survived by his daughter, Stella King, Angleton; sisters, Menan Rafman, Bibi Gangadeen (Jerome), Halima Rambajohn (Rudolph), all of Canada; brothers, Nazim Rafman (Kami) and Raymond Rafman (Doris), all of Canada; partner, Michelle Fortner; good friends, Mike Cosme, Tanner Finch, Travis Finch, Alexander “Jap” Jackson; three grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Cosme, Tanner Finch, Travis Finch, Darryl Green, George Prince and Patrick Robinson.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Angleton.
