James Henry Thompson


Funeral services for James Henry Thompson, 76, of Brazoria will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Brazoria with Rev. Ronald J. Simple Officiating and Pastor Darrell James Eulogizing. Burial will follow at Mims Cemetery in Brazoria, TX.

He passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at CHI St. Luke Health Medical Center in Lake Jackson, TX.

He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church where he served as an Usher until his health failed. He was an Alumni of George Washington Carver High School. He enjoyed barbecuing and working in his yard.

He leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories; brothers, Clarence Lee Thompson Sr. (Eva), Eugene Thompson and William H. Thompson all of Brazoria; sisters, Lillian M. Davis (Felix Jr.), Brazoria, Linda J. Walker (Stephen), West Columbia, Beulah B. Thompson, Brazoria, Helen Faye Crecy (General) and Mary E. Brown (Gary), Richmond; goddaughter, Destiny C. Thompson, Brazoria; and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Ward, Dion Davis, Troy Thompson, Derrick Woodard, Aaron McGarity and TyeQuiel Cooks.

Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria. There will be viewing at the church on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing afterward.
