Billie ‘Sue’ McWhorter

Billie ‘Sue’ McWhorter, age 75, of Angleton, Texas passed away June 29, 2019.

Sue was born on February 8, 1944 in Buffalo, Texas, to Zelma Waters Bell and Joe Bell.

Sue was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a site director for the Boys & Girls Club of Brazoria County for 20 years. She loved working with all the children and was fondly referred to as ‘Miss Sue’.

Sue is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wayne McWhorter; her children, Danny McWhorter and wife Joanne, and Rodney McWhorter and wife Tina, all of Angleton; her sisters, Nancy Davenport of Ohio, and Margie VanCleave of Angleton; her grandchildren, Heather Dannhaus, Tanner McWhorter, Ryan McWhorter; and one great-grandchild, Jace Dannhaus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Shirley Pate.

Visitation will be at Palms Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., July 10, 2019 at Palms Funeral Home.
