4 teams set for quests to playoffs

With the regular season all sewn up, it’s time to begin the second half of the 2007 year — the football playoffs.
Locally, Brazoswood, Brazosport Christian School, Bay City and Pearland have earned at least another week of play.
The Buccaneers (8-1) will host their first encounter of the postseason against Fort Bend Marshall. Brazoswood and Marshall will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hopper Field.
Pre-sale tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and $6 at the gate. Tickets can be bought in advance from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at Hopper Field.
Brazosport Christian (8-1) will host Marble Falls Christian in the first round. The game is slated for 7 p.m. Friday at Slade Field. Presale tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and can be bought at the school. All tickets at the gate will be $6.
District 24-5A champion Pearland (9-1) will carry its No. 1 seed into Deer Park, as the Oilers will play Fort Bend Kempner.
Bay City (6-4) advances to face Texas City in the Class 4A-Region 3 bi-district round at 7:30 p.m. Friday at The Rig in Pearland.
