Published April 29, 2007
The winners of the third annual Migration Celebration Photo Contest recently were announced at the 13th Annual Migration Celebration dinner at the San Bernard Wildlife Refuge.
Seventy photos of birds, wildlife, flowers and scenic Texas vistas were submitted by 21 photographers. Kathy Adams Clark once again volunteered to judge the contest.
Clark has been a professional photographer since 1995 and is the owner of KAC Productions, a stock company that represents 15 outstanding nature photographers. Clark teaches photography through Leisure Learning in Houston and is the current president of the North American Nature Photography Association.
“We are very pleased with the quality of the photographs submitted and to again have Kathy Adams Clark as our judge,” Ellis Burkhardt, photo contest coordinator, said. “We are looking forward to another successful contest in 2008.”
The first-place photos will be on display at The Discovery Center at the Brazoria Wildlife Refuge for the next year and at
