Watzke 60th Anniversary
Don and Marcia Watzke will soon celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on September 16, 1949, in the original Presbyterian Church in Freeport, Texas, and have lived most of their married lives in Lake Jackson. Both were drawn to the area at about the same time by jobs offered them by the Dow Chemical Co. during the early days of World War II. They often remind each other of the benefits to them of their relationships with Dow Chemical during working years (40 years for Don) and during retirement.
God has blessed their union with wonderful children and grandchildren. The children and their spouses are: Tony Watzke (Beverly), Donna Boston (Daren) and Diana Kidd (Greg). Grandchildren are: Megan Engelhardt, Denae Boston and Darcy Boston. Tony and Beverly live in Marietta, Georgia; all others live in Lake Jackson. Special family gatherings and dinners will be part of their anniversary celebration.
