Shelby Wilson weds Jeremy Swancoat
Shelby Wilson of Houston and Jeremy Swancoat of Houston were married on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Beckye Wilson of Angleton. The groom is the son of Ellis and Kathy Swancoat of Provost, Alberta, Canada.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Texas. The groom is a graduate of the University of Alberta.
The matron of honor was Hayley Smith (sister of the bride) of Houston. The best man was Lee McInnis (friend of the groom) of Calgary, Alberta.
The bridesmaids were Whitney Wilson (sister of the bride) of Wildwood, Missouri; Jeneah Abaquin (friend of the bride) of Dallas; and Shannon Williams (friend of the bride) of Austin.
The groomsmen were Tyson Swancoat (brother of the groom) of Provost, Alberta; Chad Swancoat (brother of the groom) of Calgary, Alberta; and Darcy Ryan (friend of the groom) of Edmonton, Alberta.
The bride wore a white natural silk floor-length Dupioni designer gown. The dress was an elegant sleeveless design featuring ruching on the bodice and a chapel train. The bride carried a bouquet of white mini calla lilies.
The matron of honor and the bridesmaids were wearing knee-length marine blue cocktail dresses. They carried bouquets of white mini calla lilies and blue hydrangeas.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Courtyard on St. James Place in Houston. The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and now reside in Houston.
