QUESTION: The sidewalk on Dixie Drive has overhanging vines and tree limbs from yards that back up to the sidewalk. Who is responsible for trimming those vines and limbs, the homeowner or the city?

ANSWER: The city is responsible for trimming low-hanging limbs and vines over the sidewalk along Dixie Drive. We will have a crew out this week to take care of this.

Low-hanging limbs and other hazards may be reported to the Public Works Department at (979) 415-2430 during normal business hours.

Craig Nisbett, Lake Jackson director of Public Works
