Callie Crain weds Daniel Hatcherson

Callie Crain of College Station and Daniel Hatcherson of College Station were married on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at five o’clock at First United Methodist Church of Angleton.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Cheryl Crain of Angleton, the granddaughter of Arnold and Betty Crain of Hugo, Oklahoma, and the late Raymond and Georgia Capell of Lake Jackson. The groom is the son of Rob and Patty Hatcherson of Fort Worth, the grandson of Robert and Joan Hatcherson of Chestertown, Maryland, and Nancy Croft of Bluffton, South Carolina.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a simple, yet elegant, strapless ivory satin gown with princess seaming that flowed into crystal beadwork and intricate embroidery gracing her hipline. It was further complemented by the calla lily shape of the slim a-line skirt and chapellength train. Along with a bouquet of mango calla lilies, friendship roses and hypericum berries, the bride carried her grandmother’s lace handkerchief.

Kristen Evans of College Station served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Vu of College Station, Stacey Hatcherson, sister of the groom, of College Station, Rachelle Cothren of Angleton and Melissa Crain, sister-in-law of the bride, of Houston. The maid of honor and the bridesmaids were wearing knee-length glass green cocktail dresses and carried bouquets of friendship roses.

Serving as best man was Stephen Huff of Houston. Groomsmen were Devin Carroll of Houston, Scott Hatcherson, brother of the groom, of Denton, Steve Brannan of Dallas and Coy Crain, brother of the bride, of Houston. Ushers were Joseph Breal, Jim Koss and Sam Perry.

As the couple lit the unity candle, they were serenaded with “This Day” performed by the vocal and guitar duo of the groom’s sister and Christopher Carter, friend of the couple.

House party members were Kelly Richards of College Station, Laura Mitchell of College Station and Raphaela Wagner of Germany.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance were held in the FUMC Family Life Center.

Callie and Danny are both 2008 graduates of Texas A&M University. The bride is enrolled in Physical Therapy School at Texas State University, and the groom is employed in San Marcos.

The couple honeymooned in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and now reside in San Marcos, Texas.
