Kristen Jeanne Pauls weds Richard Thomas Ishihara
Kristen Jeanne Pauls of Longview, Texas, and Richard Thomas Ishihara of Longview, Texas, were married on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at The Summit Club in Longview. The officiating minister was the Rev. Rita Sims of Winterfield United Methodist Church. The bride carried the Bible carried by her paternal grandmother on her wedding day.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Lisa Pauls of Lake Jackson. The groom is the son of Randy and Carol Ishihara of Culver City, CA, and Denise Ishihara of Kelseyville, CA.
The bride is a graduate of Midland High School in Midland, MI. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 2002, and from Baylor Law School in 2006. She is currently employed by Nix, Patterson and Roach in Daingerfield, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of Kelseyville High School in Kelseyville, CA. He graduated from the University of California Northridge in 2004 and Baylor School of Law in 2007. He is currently employed by Lonestar Legal Aid.
The maid of honor was Erika Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI, and the best men were Rob and Scott Ishihara of Kelseyville, CA.
The bridesmaids were Tijana Divornic of Austin, Texas; Heidi Upchurch of Chicago, IL; Lisa Garby of Midland, MI; Kim Brod of Grand Rapids, MI; Amanda Hamilton of Dallas, Texas; Casey Moore of Dallas, Texas; and Shelley White of Houston, all friends of the bride.
The groomsmen were Cliff Trotter of Los Angeles, CA; Troy Hawley of Sacramento, CA; Mike Lemmon of Los Angeles, CA; Erik Martin of Fort Worth, Texas; Evan Hall of Dallas, Texas, all friends of the groom; and Justin Pauls, brother of the bride, of San Antonio, TX.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and now reside in Longview, Texas.
