Fred Thomas Houston

Fred Thomas Houston, 55, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009. He was born October 23, 1954, in Los Angeles, California, to C.F. and Ora Lea Houston. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe, of Lake Jackson; mother, Ora Lea Houston of El Paso, Texas; eight children, Jason Houston of Bakersfield, California, Rebeca Loera and husband, Juan, of Northglenn, Colorado, Raul Zavala and wife, Gina, of Jones Creek, Texas, Manuel Lopez and wife, Sara, of Clute, Melinda Lopez of El Paso, Texas, Lea Ora Earle and husband, Justin, of Lake Jackson, Lisa Jones and husband, Mathew, of Lake Jackson and Fred Carroll Houston and wife, Melissa, of Lake Jackson; 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Karen Lechuga and husband, Arthur, of El Paso, Texas, Jeanne Guerra and husband, Pudgy, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Lea Ann Reney and husband, Frank, of Alvin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Fredrick Houston; and his brother, William Houston.

The family will receive friends 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Chapel.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson with Father Leo officiating.

Pallbearers will be Manuel Lopez, Raul Zavala, Fred Houston, Mathew Jones, Justin Earl and Juan Loera.
