Casey Alan Rose of West Columbia was born on November 21, 1988, in Lake Jackson, Texas, and passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009, at 20 years of age.
Casey leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandfather, Ralph “Big Daddy” Ducroz of West Columbia; mother, Robin Crawford of West Columbia; father, Larry Rose and Liz of Sargent; brother, Chris Rose and Miranda of Trinity; sister, Crystal Rose of Clute; grandparents, Willie May Rose of Mexia, Buddy Rose of Green River, Wyoming, and Zelma Groze of Damon; uncles, Tony Alan Rose and Donna of Sweeny and Buzzy Rose and Janette of Damon; and aunts, Rhonda Ducroz of West Columbia and Angel Washington and Frank of Tenaha. He also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends.
Casey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nita “Nana” Dodds; uncle, Jimbo Rose; and cousin, Felix Green.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
A celebration of Casey’s life will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel in West Columbia with Mark Ducroz officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbia Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kurt Sinor, Taylor Wootten, Sean Somers, Steven Wise, Jesse Hartley, Aaron Sparkman, Travis Thornton, Kevin Barker, Jerred Green, Mikey Frazer, Roy Frazer, Colby Newsome, Blake Hurst and Jerry Hartley.
Honorary pallbearers are Felix Green and Charles Frazer, who met him at Heaven’s Gate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an account in Casey’s name at Prosperity Bank, P.O. Box 308, West Columbia, Texas 77486.
Casey always was happy and lived life to the fullest. We always will miss his smile.
Arrangements are under the direction of Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
