Felix (Bob) Charles Pavlik

Felix (Bob) Charles Pavlik, age 86, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2009. He was born on December 16, 1922, in Ammannsville, Texas, to Carl and Frances Dornak Pavlik.

Bob grew up in La Grange, Texas, where he played gridiron in high school, in the position of center. He proudly served in the United States Navy as a pharmacist’s mate first class during WWII. He was stationed in the Pacific for 21 months of sea duty from December 7, 1942, to February 8, 1946.

He retired from retail management, then managed Lamplight Park for more than 20 years. When he was not fishing, he was enjoying eating the fish. His other enjoyment was watching sports, especially baseball and gridiron.

He was married to Fannie Celice Pavlik on August 20, 1981, in Angleton, Texas. Once united, his family grew from three loving daughters to five, with an addition of two sons.

Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Celice Pavlik of Angleton, Texas; daughter, Nina Barnhart and her husband, David, of Cushing, Texas; daughter, Frances Turner and her husband, Doug, of Boerne, Texas; and daughter, Norma (Gate) Eilenberg and her husband, Philip, of Auckland, New Zealand. His extended family includes Gary Fulsom of East Texas, Walter Fulsom and his wife, Domela, of Lake Jackson, Deborah Murphy and her husband, Harry, of Jones Creek and Melinda Shannon of Georgia. Grandchildren are Cameron Barnhart and his wife, Rhonda, of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Morgan Barnhart of Cushing, Texas. Additional grandchildren are Wendy Moss, Gary Fulsom Jr., Donny Fulsom, Jeromy Fulsom, Matthew Fulsom, Lauren Browning and Amanda Browning; great-grandchildren include Ethan Barnhart of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Cordell Barnhart of Nacogdoches, Texas; and numerous other great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Irma DeWeese and Lillian Pavlik; and brothers, Karl Pavlik and Alfred Pavlik.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas.

Interment will be at VA National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Arrangements are provided by Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E. Mulberry, Angleton, Texas.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Cypress Woods Care Center. We also would like to thank A-Med Home Health and Hospice Care nurses and staff.
