Martin Lopez
Martin Lopez went home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 56 years old. He was born May 14, 1953, and passed away November 2, 2009.
Martin is preceded in death by his father, Elijhoy Lopez Sr. and his stepfather, Tony Gusman.
Martin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lucy Aline Lopez from Cleveland, Texas; his mother, Martha Gusman of Bay City, Texas; one son, Keith Orsas and wife, Cheryl, of Houston; two daughers, Martina Herrera from Copperas Cove and her husband, Antonio, who is currently serving his country in Iraq and Melissa and husband, Santiago Venegas, of Cleveland; three granddaughters, McKenzie and Kendall Orasas and Bianca Venegas and one grandson, Christian Venegas; brothers, Elijhoy Lopez Jr., Alex and Rosa Lopez, Rick and Gloria Guyton and Steve and Mario Mendieto, all from Bay City; sisters, Anita and Tina Garcia and Tony and Hector Ruiz, all from Bay City and a host of friends and other family.
Martin was loved by everyone. He was kind, considerate and compassionate about his entire family. He enjoyed working, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren and especially loved traveling and taking his wife sightseeing.
Martin loved the Lord, he always looked for someone to share his knowledge with about his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed attending church, whether at home or when working out of state. He was a man after God’s own heart.
We will miss you, Popee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the Emmanuel Temple Baptist Church in Bay City.
