Evelyn Broze

Evelyn Broze, 83, passed away November 2, 2009. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Evelyn was born January 13, 1926, in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, to Alton and Thelma Blankenship and graduated high school in Damon, Texas. She married and later moved to Angleton where she raised her family and worked for 30 years at the Brazoria County Library.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Broze; sons, Gary Broze and John Broze; sisters, Lois Wright, Irma Richman and Martha McDaniel; and brother, H.L. Blankenship.

Evelyn is survived by her granddaughter, Lee Broze of Houston; great-grandson, Matthew Navarro of Houston; sister, Dixie DeWeese of Angleton; nieces and nephews, Molly Schmidt of Jones Creek, Susan Barber of Sweeny, Elaine Givens of Angleton, JoAnn McGaugh of Angleton, Donna Cook of Salisbury, North Carolina, Belinda Huff of Las Vegas, Nevada, Clayton Blankenship of North Carolina, Lisa McMichael of Pearland, and Mark DeWeese of Houston.

Visitation is Friday, November 6, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. A Christian Wake service will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Most Holly Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton.

Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery.
