Kenneth B. Beach

Kenneth B. Beach, 73, of West Columbia passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Country Care Village in Angleton, Texas, due to complications of multiple sclerosis. He was born September 20, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, to Kenneth and Mary Elizabeth (Boldrick) Beach. Kenneth was a farmer for more than 30 years, and member of the Lions Club and First Baptist Church of West Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Pastor D.O. Foster officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to services.

Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Catherine Douglas Beach; daughters, Katherine Handley and husband, Robert, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Kay Lynn Derrich and husband, Paul, of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Rob, Kyle, Mary Elizabeth and Lane Handley of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Hayden and McKenzie Derrich of New Braunfels, Texas; brother, Michael Beach and wife, Susan, of Monrovia, California; sister, Mary Waller and husband, Tom, of Winchester, California; along with nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Elizabeth Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the West Columbia First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 226 Broad St., West Columbia, Texas 77486.

Services are under the direction of Baker Funeral Home, 634 S. Columbia Drive, West Columbia, Texas 77486.
