I’m a Brazoria County native, but it wasn’t until visiting Italy in college that I realized just how hot and humid Brazoria County is. Crazy how it took going 5,700 miles to teach me the hot, humid Gulf Coast climate is what saps me every summer, making me want to lie down in the grass and sleep.

Fortunately, three local organizations are working together again this year to fight the heat.
