B-21-UC-48-0005, CFDA #14.218 CITY OF DANBURY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OXIDATION DITCH DREDGING, SOLIDS REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL, BRAZORIA COUNTY, TEXAS Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the City of Danbury City Hall, 6102 Fifth Street, Danbury, Texas 77534. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Major items of work include: -- Pump, Remove, Dewater, and Properly Dispose Offsite the Accumulated Material from Existing Oxidation Ditch Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents, including drawings and technical specifications (with the option to purchase hardcopies) may be obtained from www.CivcastUSA.com. Bidders must register on this website in order to view and/or download specifications and plans for this project. There is NO charge to view or download documents. Said documents may be examined without charge in the office of the Project Engineer, Kaluza, Inc., 3014 Avenue I, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. A pre-bid conference for bidders will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the City of Danbury City Hall, 6102 Fifth Street, Danbury, Texas 77534. It is recommended that all bidders attend the pre-bid conference; however, attendance is not mandatory. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Danbury or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. This project is federally funded by a 2021 Brazoria County Community Development Block Grant. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor H.U.D. and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or national origin. Also, adherence to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, the regulations set forth in 24 CFR Part 135, and all applicable rules and orders will apply. City of Danbury reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid. Bids may be held by City of Danbury for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.
