LAKE JACKSON — It’s summertime at The Clarion, and that means fun with matinee shows for children every Wednesday. Viewers can thrill to folk tales, chemistry, music and magic at special low-cost programs designed to appeal to the younger set.

“We have our summer matinee series back, I think we started in the summer of 2007. It’s been a big hit with people in the area,” said Vorin Dornan, manager at The Clarion. “If you have younger kids at home, it’s a great thing to do on a Wednesday afternoon. There’s a variety of shows and kids always have a great time at them.”
