Jesus isn’t here anymore, so God depends on people, people like you and me, to embody and live out God’s grace and mercy for the world.

After Easter and before Jesus left them, the disciples had great hopes about what they might accomplish — with Jesus’ help. They knew what they wanted, and they assumed Jesus would go along and help out. They longed for a return to glory for their nation Israel. The Messiah had come!
