‘It just wasn’t even like it was me,” Kitty May Simpson testified in answer to questions from her attorney, Percy Foreman of Houston, in the trial for the shooting of her husband, James Walter “Jimmy” Simpson, in Brazoria County in 1958.

She described that as having felt like someone else was firing the pistol and she was watching.
