OK Sis, this is what’s on my stove for tonight. I may have sent this to you but I don’t remember. I’m 73 (not ’til next month) and I forget!

My friend and I had gone to a local café in St. Francisville, Louisiana. This was the “Soup for the Day.” We came home and started mixing up stuff until we came up with his recipe. It tastes just like the one at the café. I fix this at least twice a month. Everything is cooked so all you do is dump it all in a pot and heat it up.

If you have recipes or tips to share, or a request, please send to Conversations with Gin, P.O. Box 334, Clute, TX 77531 or virginiacrawford30@yahoo.com.
