2018 Charlie Brown Youth Essay Competition

The Charlie Brown Initiative recently presented awards to the winners of its second essay contest. WEST COLUMBIA — The Charlie Brown Initiative recognized its 2018 essay winners during a presentation Nov. 11 at the Columbia Rosenwald School in West Columbia.

In its second year, the CBI, founded by former Brazoria County resident Larry Thomas, has awarded contest monies to students for their essays reflecting on Brown’s life and how the student feels his philanthropy and humanitarian work is impacting Brazoria County and the state of Texas.
