Experts blame the outflow of numerous rivers and extensive rainfall over the past months for Brazoria County’s dirty beach waters.

Three Brazoria County beaches ranked in the top seven of the Environment Texas Center’s annual Safe Swimming study that lists the places most commonly found to have unsafe conditions. The group released this year’s annual report on water safety July 1.
