On a personal level, the last year has been one to forget for Nikki Sterling. But for Sterling the real estate agent, it has been one for the record books.

“The housing market hasn’t even gone down, if anything it’s increased especially in South Texas,” the Mega Realty agent said. “Keeping it moving is always the goal — whether it’s rentals, commercial, land or residences, it doesn’t matter. We have a lot more land down here and land is gold. It’s been steady.”
