CLUTE — With the smell of corn dogs and the sound of music filling the air, the third day of the 40th annual Mosquito Festival was in high spirits.

Despite the summer heat, locals found their way to the Clute Municipal Park to enjoy the rows of vendors lined up, including food, games, rides and the petting zoo.
