West Brazos Junior High construction FILE

Construction crews work to complete the interior of the new sixth-grade wing at West Brazos Junior High in Brazoria on Dec. 30. The wing features classrooms, science labs and large group instruction rooms.

WEST COLUMBIA — Sixth-graders in Columbia-Brazoria ISD will become part of the secondary world for the first time in the fall when they move to the junior high campus, and district administrators are developing a plan for what that will look like.

“Whenever we’re planning secondary curriculum, we always try to start with the end in mind,” Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services Chris Miller said during the school board meeting Tuesday.
