FREEPORT — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but a woman’s awareness might not be enough to protect herself.

“We’re going away from Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Breast Cancer Action Month,” said Toma Omofoye, a breast imaging radiologist and an associate professor of radiology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
