The Chill Spot opened in 2011 as Juliann Martinez’s dream. This year, the popular sno-cone and fruit cup business celebrates 10 years, and she and husband Lorenzo have been blessed, they said.

“I wanted a place here, a place to go and eat fruit cups and snow cones because we didn’t really have that here,” Juliann said. “We kind of came to the idea because in our hometown, there’s a fruit cup place that we loved and a snow cone stand that we loved, so we kind of just combined them and made it our own.”
