ANGLETON — Well-timed rainstorms didn’t bail out Brazoria County this go-around.

Sustained drought conditions prompted commissioners’ court to approve a countywide burn ban that goes into effect today and lasts up to the next 90 days. It applies only to unincorporated areas of Brazoria County.
