DA provides expected investigation end date

The Texas Rangers’ investigation into reported improper conduct in the Brazoria County District Clerk’s Office is reaching its final weeks, District Attorney Tom Selleck said.

. Since then, the county has parted ways with Barchak’s chief deputy, Cayla Meyers, and Jenny Phillips, who also worked in the office.

Interim District Clerk Donna Starkey has declined to say why they no longer work for the office. Meyers has declared herself a candidate for district clerk in next year’s Republican primary.

Donna Starkey, why did they leave the Clerks Office? My family and many others have a right to know.
