If the weather system in the Bay of Campeche makes it to tropical storm status, it’s unlikely to do much harm to Brazoria County.

“This system is very disorganized, with widespread showers and thunderstorms,” National Weather Service meteorologist Janice Maldonado said late Thursday morning. “Still, they cannot find well-defined circulation. So, it’s difficult to have a specific track of it, but so far what models are predicting is that this system, by (Friday) sometime, will continue to track northward toward the Louisiana coast.”
