FREEPORT — The Freeport Economic Development Corp. will be looking at a budget of more than $2 million for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

“There isn’t much change from last year,” EDC President Ed Garcia said. “The revenues that we project coming into the city of Freeport through the EDC is about $1.2 million; that is a change of about $130,000. The expenditures for salaries and benefits will remain the same around $215,479. The fund balance is about $1.5 million.”
