ANGLETON — Some people, without intending to do so, become one of the faces of their community. Head up a fundraiser here, help lead a project there, and as one year replaces another, you become described by others with words like, “indispensable.”

That was Angleton’s Dottie Duby, recipient of The Facts’ 2005 Brazoria County Citizen of the Year award, who died at the age of 79 Friday from complications from surgery.
