MAN IN FRIDAY CAR ACCIDENT DIES

The Lake Jackson man who drove a 2002 Ford pickup across the north and south lanes of Highway 288 and landed in Oyster Creek on Friday died of blunt impact to the head and torso and complications of near drowning, said Jennifer Coston, deputy chief of investigations for the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
