FREEPORT — Two years after Port Freeport began eminent domain proceedings, East End residents are still fighting to keep their homes.

Port Freeport Commissioners began the eminent domain process in October 2019, but the first hearing did not take place until nearly a year later, according to a statement from the port’s public affairs department.
