The Center for Disease Prevention and Control’s eviction moratorium is only weeks away from ending, and what could happen come Aug. 1 concerns both renters and property owners.

At the Monaco Villas in Lake Jackson, management will be forced to evict roughly “5 percent” of renters due to delinquent payment, Manager Ashley Vollbaum said Wednesday. She tries to put those struggling to pay their rent in touch with agencies that can help them, she said.
