After almost a year of uncertainty and adjustment, COVID-19 dealt yet another blow to local restaurants when they were ordered to lower their in-person dining capacity to half.

“We definitely hope we don’t ever have to go back to 25 percent (capacity) because that was not a good time,” said Brandon Hansen, general manager of The Wayside Pub in Lake Jackson.
