ANGLETON — Ten months into 2021, the economy still has not fully recovered from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. But things continue to look up, local business leaders learned this week.

“The economy is recovering,” said Donald Payne Jr., an economic analyst with Brazosport College. “But when you compare back to 2019, it’s not recovered yet.”
