Representing a majority of Brazoria County in the Texas Legislature, State Rep. Dennis Bonnen, R-Angleton, was reappointed the Speaker Pro Tem for a third consecutive term.

“As Speaker Pro Tem, I will continue supporting Speaker Straus in uniting the House so that we can effectively represent all Texans that trust us to be their voice in Austin,” Bonnen said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
