The Stamp Out Hunger food drive, now in its 26th year, takes place each year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. The National Association of Letter Carriers Union Branch 4723 joins their colleagues from around the nation in rallying communities to help hungry neighbors in need.

“We do it because we want to make sure to feed the kids during summertime. They get fed at school, but we want to make sure kids have something to go home to during the summer,” said Lake Jackson letter carrier Glen Walters, leader of the local effort since the drive’s inception.
