Becoming our parents

A series of satirical commercials implores us not to pick up our parents' embarrassing behaviors.

I’m aggravated because parents are being classified and stereotyped as “bad” in general. “Don’t become like your parents” is the message of a TV ad being nationally aired.

I want to protest by exclaiming, “Why do you think it is so wrong to emulate parents? Most are self-sacrificing people, for goodness sakes!”
