Local vet is honored with special quilt

Former Brazoswood coach and World War II veteran James “Bo” Landers recently was honored with a quilt thanking him for his service by Quilts for Vets Board member Mike Roznovsky. Others there to share in the celebration were Gerald Roznovsky, Tommy and Debra (Bacica) Morris, Cindy Broadway and Quilts for Vets founder LinMarie Garsee. Landers was a decoder in the U.S. Army. Quilts for Vets, a nonprofit organization, gives the quilts at no charge to the veteran. To suggest a World War II veteran who should be honored, contact Quilts for Vets at 409-656-5955 or quiltsforvets2019@aol.com.
